TaleForge vs Wattpad

Wattpad brings a large audience for free, but writers get no share of its ad revenue and paid Originals are by invitation. TaleForge is a writing studio where any author can sell chapters from day one and keep 90% of each sale. Its readership is much smaller.

Questions

Can I earn money on Wattpad?+

Through Wattpad Originals, which are by invitation: editors pick stories from members of its Creators Program, and readers unlock chapters with coins. Writers get no share of ad revenue. On TaleForge any author can sell chapters and keep 90% of each sale.

Who owns my story?+

You do, on both. Wattpad's Terms give it a nonexclusive license to publish and distribute your story on Wattpad. TaleForge's license only covers running the service and ends when you delete your content.

Can I move my Wattpad story to TaleForge?+

Yes, from your own copy, since Wattpad has no export. TaleForge imports DOCX, EPUB, ODT, PDF, Markdown, HTML and plain text.
